RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler baseball junior Buddy McCoy has been named the American Southwest Conference Hitter of the Week, the league office announced Monday. McCoy helped lead the Patriots to a series-win over Hardin-Simmons, finishing the week with a .636 average.

McCoy, a junior from Haughton, Louisiana, led the Patriots with a .636 batting average, leading the team in hits (7), doubles (2), RBI (6) and total bases (12).
