RICHARDSON – UT Tyler seniors Brittany Brunson and Conner Benson have started the final cross country season of their careers in style by being named the American Southwest Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week following stellar performances at last Friday’s Braveheart Invitational.

Brunson opened her season by winning the Braveheart Invitational in a time of 20:40 at the 3.1 mile course around the Patriots campus. It was Brunson's second career win after she also won the 2014 King Campbell Spectacular and then claimed third at the ASC Championship meet as a junior. The Patriot women had seven of the top-10 finishers in the 3.1-mile race. More…
