RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler cross country student-athletes Matt Donahue and Carly Kitts have been named the American Southwest Conference Men's and Women's Runners of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Freshman Matthew Donahue led the Patriots with a ninth-place finish (28:15) at the competitive East Texas Invitational Saturday. Donahue led a squad consisting of mostly freshman to a third-place team finish out of 11 teams.

Senior Carly Kitts finished fourth out of 82 runners at the East Texas Invitational on Saturday, helping the Patriots finish first out of 10 teams for the Patriots' third first-place finish in as many races this season. More...
