RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler men's golfer George Toone has been recognized as the American Southwest Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Monday. Toone helped lead the Patriots to a first-place tie at the Golfweek Fall Invitational.

Toone led the Patriots to one of their most significant wins at the Golfweek Fall Invitational in Sandestin, Fla.

The freshman scored two rounds under par, including a team-best 68 in the second round to place fourth overall (70-68-76=214) out of 89 golfers. More...
