Dr. Sandra Petersen, associate professor of nursing, will present at this year’s Healthy Aging Summit July 27 – 28 in Washington, D.C.

During the international session on Tuesday, July 28, she will discuss her research with the PARO robotic pet in the assisted living memory care setting.

Petersen also will reveal early findings from her current robotic study involving Alzheimer’s and dementia patients.

The summit, hosted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the American College of Preventive Medicine, facilitates collaboration and communication from those around the world who are conducting research or finding new ways to advance healthy aging.
