RICHARDSON – UT Tyler sophomore Brandon Morris has been named the American Southwest Conference
Offensive Player of the Week after helping lead the Patriots to a pair of wins last
week.
Morris recorded the second hat trick of his career in the 4-0 win over LeTourneau
last Saturday and is the only player in program history with two three-goal performances.
Morris leads the Patriots with five goals this season after his three goals against
the YellowJackets. Morris is one of just two players in the ASC this season to score
three goals in a game.
A Hurst native, he currently has nine goals in his career after recording four as
a freshman on 28 shots. His five goals this season have come on 17 shots and two of
his goals are game-winners. Along with Morris, UT Tyler has seen three other hat tricks
with Kevin Gansert (2008), Leandro Cid-Fernandez (2014) and Timothy Moyer (2014) have
three-goal performances. More...
