As a reminder, UT Tyler will hold a cornerstone ceremony for the upcoming Alumni House, Wendell Jeffreys, vice president for advancement, announced.

The ceremony will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 near the construction site at the university's main entrance.

"The placing of the cornerstone in the new Alumni House is a wonderful tradition that celebrates the construction of this facility that is to become the unique gateway to the Tyler campus. We're also honoring both our wonderful donors and alumni who have contributed in making this possible," Jeffreys said.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.
