Interested UT Tyler students are encouraged to participate in the Smart Start Skills
Negotiation Workshop for salary negotiations, Marilyn Albert, career services director,
announced.
The workshop is 4 – 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 in the UT Tyler Braithwaite Nursing
Building, room 1030.
"This will be an opportunity for students to learn the key elements in salary negotiation
such as the consequences of the gender wage gap," said Sylvia Leibowitz, student development
specialist. "After attending this workshop, students will understand reasonable salaries,
benefits and how to develop a budget to pay basic expenses."
Food will be provided.
The UT Tyler Office of Career Services offers guidance, resources and support to help students and alumni navigate the career
development process.
