I am excited to share that the UT Tyler College of Engineering has once again been
recognized among the nation’s top 100 undergraduate engineering programs by U.S. News
& World Report — our sixth consecutive year. This milestone reflects the unwavering
dedication of our faculty, staff and students to academic excellence, scholarship
and innovation.
In the past year alone, we secured more than $3 million in new research awards and
approached $2 million in annual expenditures. Our faculty have led projects in sustainable
rural transportation, biofuels, biomedical sensing and smart agriculture — many of
which have resulted in patents, national recognition and transformative student experiences.
These achievements are not only elevating our national profile but also reinforcing
the vital role engineering plays in solving society’s most complex challenges. We
are grateful for your continued support and partnership as we build a future defined
by impact, opportunity and discovery.
Warm Regards, Javier A. Kypuros, Ph.D. Dean, College of Engineering
