College Announces CTCU Gift for School of Education

The UT Tyler College of Education and Psychology received a gift from the Cooperative Teachers Credit Union. Learn more about the gift and its usage for the upcoming academic year.

CTCU and UT Tyler officials with checkThe UT Tyler College of Education and Psychology received a $20,000 gift from the Cooperative Teachers Credit Union to help bolster current School of Education events and activities.

“Our college is both grateful and excited about the partnership with CTCU in our efforts to continue to educate and support our teachers who build our communities by educating our students,” said Dr. Pradeep “Max” Dass, college dean.

A significant portion of the funds will be used toward this year's Back to School Bash. The annual event, held at the start of each school year, features motivational speakers and engaging activities designed to encourage area teachers and emphasize their role in shaping students’ lives.

“Supporting UT Tyler’s College of Education and Psychology is one way we can invest in those shaping the future of education in East Texas. We’re proud to stand behind those who inspire, lead and teach the next generation,” said Tim Miller, CTCU CEO.

Funds will also support the SOE Undergraduate Bridging Ceremony and New Teacher Induction event, further enhancing the school’s commitment to empowering current and future educators.
