UT Tyler Recognizes 2025 Juried Student Art Exhibition Winners

The University of Texas at Tyler announced winners of the 2025 Juried Student Art Exhibition, hosted by the UT Tyler Department of Art and Art History.

This year’s guest juror was Jason Bly, an associate professor of art at Midwestern State University. He chose 37 works by 31 student artists to be featured in the on-campus exhibition and selected “Best of Show” and other winners.

Winners are listed by hometown with recognition and title of work.

CANTON – Audrey Jeanes, honorable mention – “Spiral.”

GRAND SALINE – Leanna Wilson, best of show – “Repulsed.”

HENDERSON – Meredith Freeman, first place – “I almost had it.”

JACKSONVILE – Rebecca Longacre, honorable mention – “Influence.”

PITTSBURG – Emily Bamburg, third place – “Bath Time.”

TYLER – Kent Welch, honorable mention – “still life.”

ARIZONA – Esther Annaliese Reifel of Arizona, second place – “Window Shopping.”

The exhibition continues through Friday, May 16, at the UT Tyler Meadows Gallery, located inside the R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment.
