Partnership enhances educational pathways, opportunities for transfer students at TC
The University of Texas at Tyler and Texarkana College have established a transfer agreement to facilitate the seamless transfer of students from TC to UT Tyler, providing them with greater educational opportunities and support.
Through the partnership, UT Tyler will accept transferable lower division courses from TC and provide academic advising services to pre-transfer students. UT Tyler will also offer information regarding transfer scholarships and financial aid opportunities.
“We are pleased to partner with Texarkana College on this endeavor, which will increase awareness of the educational and student support opportunities available in the Northeast Texas and Texarkana region,” said Dr. Amir Mirmiran, UT Tyler provost and chief academic officer. “This agreement will also ensure students at Texarkana College with a more seamless transfer experience to UT Tyler.”
The presidents of each institution, Dr. Juile V. Philley and Dr. Jason Smith, made the agreement official with a MOU signing event Wednesday, June 18, on the Texarkana College campus.
