UT Tyler to Host 2025 Teachers Law School Conference July 24

Participants will learn about relevant issues related to public education, the law

The University of Texas at Tyler College of Education and Psychology is hosting a free, professional hybrid conference addressing important legal issues facing public educators.

“Teachers Law School on Education and Law” will be 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24. Participants can attend in person at the Soules College of Business, Room 103 or virtually and receive continuing education credit. To register, visit TAMUT.edu/TeachersLawSchool.

“We are excited to join our education partners and co-host this free event for K-12 teachers, administrators and staff in East Texas,” said Dr. Pradeep “Max” Dass, UT Tyler Roosth Endowed Chair and college dean. “This is essential professional development addressing the legal challenges educators face daily.”

This year’s topics include legislative updates impacting schools, special education compliance, sexual harassment prevention strategies, and social media and free speech issues.

The event is presented and sponsored by the East Texas Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Event co-hosts are Education Service Center Region 8, Texas A&M University–Texarkana, Stephen F. Austin State University and Henderson Independent School District.
