Band to Open UT Tyler Cowan Center Big Country Series Oct. 3
Public tickets for the legendary Texas act, Randy Rogers Band, go on sale Friday, Aug. 22, at The University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.
The multi-platinum selling group will open the 2025 Cowan Center Big Country Series
on Friday, Oct. 3. The concert will include an opening act at 7:30 p.m., and Randy
Rogers Band will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Cowan Center Circle members at the $250
level and above can attend a post- show reception with a special appearance by the

Founded in San Marcos and considered a pillar of “Red Dirt” country music, Randy Rogers Band is fronted by singer-songwriter Randy Rogers and features Geoffrey Hill on guitar, Jon Richardson aka Johnny Chops on bass guitar, Brady Black on fiddle, Les Lawless on drums and Todd Stewart on guitar, fiddle, mandolin and keyboards. The band has spent more than 20 years bringing the Texas Country tradition to fans around the world.
With nine studio albums behind them, the band has currently been releasing new music ahead of their upcoming EP, “The Going,” which drops on Friday, Oct. 24. The EP includes the emotionally reflective track “Break Itself,” their collaboration with fellow Texas superstar Parker McCollum as well as “Is This Thing Workin’,” and the title track, “The Going,” which is out now. Randy Rogers Band also recently announced a 16-city tour with stops in Texas, Louisiana, Colorado and Arizona.
