Public reception with gallery talk set for Thursday, Feb. 6

The 41st Annual International Exhibition is on display now through Friday, Feb. 27, at The University of Texas at Tyler Meadows Gallery.

Guest juror Alicia Eggert, an associate professor of studio art at the University of North Texas, selected 30 works from 450 entries to feature in this year’s exhibition, presented by the UT Tyler Department of Art and Art History. A public reception and gallery talk by Eggert will be 6 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at the gallery, which is in the R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.

“We’re excited to kick off the spring 2026 semester with this annual exhibition, which features new contemporary works from noted national and international artists –– including some of our very own UT Tyler students," said Michelle Taff, UT Tyler gallery, community outreach and education coordinator. "It’s wonderful way for our campus community and visitors to be exposed to various artistic styles and global approaches to making art. We invite everyone to join us for this free exhibition and upcoming reception.”

Gallery hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, contact Taff, 903.566.7237 or mtaff@uttyler.edu.
