Beatriz Amalfi Wronski is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. Native of São
Paulo, Brazil, Beatriz earned her B.A. in Criminology, Law and Society (2017) from
the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, her M.S. in Criminal Justice (2019)
from University of Houston – Downtown, and her Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice
(2024) from Sam Houston State University. Her research interests are centered on institutional
and community corrections, as well as reentry and recidivism. More specifically, she
is interested in researching imprisonment and parole throughout the life course. Dr.
Wronski teaches undergraduate and graduate Research Methods courses.
