Business Law Program offers two undergraduate certificates: Business Legal Prospectives and Compliance & Business Ethics.

Courses completed for both certificates will be listed as a milestone on an officialuniversity transcript and a certificate of completion will be awarded by the Department of Accounting, Finance and Business Law.

Business Legal Perspectives

Undergraduate Certificate Program

Business progessionals increasingly play a role in organizational legal compliance and risk mitigation. The Business Legal Prospectives Certificate prepares students to effectively address complet legal complaince and ethical issues they may encounter in the business context.

Courses completed for both certificates will be listed as a milestone on an officialuniversity transcript and a certificate of completion will be awarded by the Department of Accounting, Finance and Business Law.

Requirements: Required Courses (9 hrs.)

The certificate requires students to complete 9 semester credit (3 courses) from the following existing course set with a grade of C or better in each course. 

  • BLAW 3306 Commercial Law
  • BLAW 4310 Negotiation and Conflict Resolution
  • BLAW 4320 Employmen Law

Compliance & Business Ethics

Undergraduate Certificate Program

Federal legal requirements and whisleblower programs have increased company focus on regulation and compliance. This certificate program equips students with knowlege and skills to address ethical and legal compliance issues in organizations.

The certificate requires students to complete 9 semester credit (3 courses) from the following existing course set with a grade of C or better in each course. 

  • BLAW 4340 Business and Professional Ethics
  • BLAW 4310 Negotiation and Conflict Resolution
  • GENB 4350 Diversity in Organizations
