ASME Citation Style Guide
Overview: The ASME citation style is used in mechanical engineering and related fields. It employs bracketed numbers for in-text citations and a numbered reference list for clarity and precision.
In-Text Citations
Cite sources in numerical order using brackets.
- Single reference: The results were validated experimentally [1].
- Multiple references: This phenomenon has been explored [1,2] or [5-7].
References
Listed numerically in citation order using ASME formatting.
