Vancouver Citation Style Guide (Vancouver Referencing System)
Overview
The Vancouver citation style is widely used in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and health sciences. It follows a numbered referencing system, where in-text citations correspond to a numbered reference list in the order sources appear.
In-Text Citations
- Single Citation: The treatment was effective¹.
- Multiple Citations: Several studies support this¹,³,⁵.
