The UT Tyler Physician Assistant Studies program is committed to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. This page presents publicly available information regarding program effectiveness, enrollment, student progression, graduation, attrition, graduate outcomes, and performance on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE). As a developing program, several outcome measures are not yet available. Data will be published and updated as the inaugural cohort enrolls, progresses through the curriculum, graduates, and completes required professional examinations.
Data Availability Notice: The UT Tyler Physician Assistant Studies program anticipates matriculating its inaugural cohort in September 2027, pending achievement of Accreditation-Provisional status. Outcome data requiring enrolled students or graduates will be posted as the information becomes available and will be updated in accordance with ARC-PA and University reporting requirements.

The UT Tyler Physician Assistant Studies program evaluates its effectiveness through an ongoing, systematic self-assessment process. Program faculty review quantitative and qualitative data related to the curriculum, student achievement, graduate preparation, faculty and staff resources, clinical education, and progress toward program goals. Findings are used to identify strengths, opportunities for improvement, and action plans that support continuous program enhancement.
Measures of Program Effectiveness
- Success in meeting published program goals.
- Administrative and institutional resource effectiveness.
- Didactic curriculum effectiveness.
- Clinical curriculum effectiveness.
- Graduate achievement of program-defined competencies.
- PANCE performance (when available).
- Faculty, staff, clinical site, and preceptor effectiveness.
- Continuous review leading to documented strengths, areas for improvement, and action plans.
- Link to the Continuous Quality Improvement and Self-Assessment Policy.
- Action plans and documented improvements resulting from data analysis.
Enrollment information will be published beginning with the program's inaugural cohort. Statistics will be presented in aggregate and updated annually to provide prospective and enrolled students with a clear picture of cohort size and program growth.

- Number of applicants, if the program elects to publish these figures.
- Matriculation yield (accepted offers resulting in enrollment).
- In-state and out-of-state enrollment.

Student Attrition: Student attrition information will be published following enrollment and progression of the UT Tyler Physician Assistant Studies Program's inaugural cohort. The information will be updated annually in accordance with ARC-PA reporting requirements and displayed using the applicable official ARC-PA table.

PANCE Performance: The UT Tyler Physician Assistant Studies program has not yet graduated its inaugural class; therefore, PANCE performance data are not currently available. The program will publish the official NCCPA PANCE Exam Performance Summary Report Last 6 Years after the first graduating cohort completes the examination and the report is received from NCCPA. The report will be updated annually in accordance with ARC-PA requirements.

Graduate employment, graduate satisfaction, and employer satisfaction data will be published after the inaugural class graduates and sufficient follow-up data are available. Results will be reported in aggregate and updated according to the program's established assessment schedule.
The UT Tyler Physician Assistant Studies program uses continuous quality improvement and self-assessment to evaluate the effectiveness of its curriculum, policies, resources, student outcomes, clinical education, faculty and staff support, and progress toward program goals. Data are reviewed regularly by program leadership and faculty, and findings are used to guide decisions, strengthen educational quality, and develop measurable improvement plans.
