Nursing Student Guide and Policies

1. University graduation requirements are outlined in The University of Texas at Tyler Catalog.
2. The student is ultimately responsible for meeting the requirements for graduation.
3. Students are expected to follow the process to apply for graduation and meet the deadline date.
4. Students may apply for graduation as early as nine months before the final filing deadline (see link above in #3).
5. No applications are accepted after the final deadline date.

The UT Tyler School of Nursing convocation ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of BSN nursing graduates. The ceremony is held toward the end of each semester. Information and
instructions about the convocation ceremony for BSN graduates will be posted in Canvas or emailed directly to students through the Patriots email account.

University Commencement is held at the end of the fall and spring semesters. There is no university-sponsored summer commencement, and those students with a summer graduation date may opt to attend the fall ceremony. More information can be found at the university registrar's website.
