Testing Center

The UT Tyler Testing Center provides accurate and secure testing opportunities to meet the individual needs of students and the community in an environment conducive to student and academic success.

We provide testing accommodations for students with accessibility needs, as well as proctoring services for standardized testing, university-level correspondence testing, and placement exams. 

We are located on the top floor of the Library, LIB 460. On the campus map, the Library is located at building #12.

Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. During the University's posted finals week, our office has extended operating hours of Monday through Friday, 8 am to 8 pm.

Standardized Testing (e.g. CLEP, TSI, etc.)

Standardized tests are given by appointment only.  Please email testingcenter@uttyler.edu to schedule an appointment.

Make-Up Exams

Students can request to schedule a make-up exam by completing this form.

Reminders for Make-Up Exams:

• All exam requests must be received at least ONE (1) WEEK PRIOR to the final due date of the exam. The student must contact their professor to determine when their exam is due.
  
  
• All exams are by appointment only.  You must call the testing center at 903.565.5693 to schedule your exam.  Walk-ins will not be allowed.
  
  
• All exams must be completed by 4:30 PM on the day the student takes the exam.
  
  
• Make-up exams will not be scheduled during finals week under any circumstances.
  
  

Accommodated Testing

SAR Registered Students: For additional instructions on how to schedule exams through your Student Profile in AIM, please contact the SAR office to set up a training session.

Proctored Testing for Non-Accommodated Students

The UT Tyler Testing Center does not offer testing services for non-accommodated UT Tyler students. UT Tyler students who need space for testing can use the testing room on the third floor in the Robert R. Muntz Library.  The library offers a testing room that is equipped with a computer intended for proctored exams and online interviews. The room is only available to UT Tyler students. Students may reserve this room for three hours per day up to two weeks in advance. Students needing additional time for setting up or longer exams should contact the Library Help Desk when making their reservation.
