PASS Tutoring
PASS Tutoring offers face to face and online tutoring for select undergraduate courses. You do not need an appointment to see a tutor in person; however, you will need an appointment to work with a tutor online. For assistance scheduling an online appointment, please watch the video below.

Upswing: 24/7 Online Tutoring
Academic Support provides students with even more ways to get connected and succeed in classes! Online tutoring for most undergraduate UT Tyler courses is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Through Upswing, an online tutoring platform, students can connect with professional tutors without having to be present on campus. Upswing services are free to currently enrolled, undergraduate UT Tyler students.
Knack
Unleash your potential with Knack's elite team of peer tutors - UT Tyler students who have excelled in the exact same classes you're taking! Whether you prefer to study one-on-one or with a group, in-person or online, Knack's platform makes it easy for you to find the perfect tutor. As of Fall 2025, new, incoming students and select graduate students will have access to the platform with a new cohort added every year. If you are not able to log in, you are not part of the first groups to have access to Knack. We have Upswing to support almost ALL undergraduate courses, though!
Math Learning Center
Staffed by mathematics graduate students and advanced undergraduates, the Math Learning Center (MLC) provides drop-in tutoring for lower-level math classes throughout the week. The MLC is conveniently situated close to both your math classes and your professors. Updated information on the MLC, including a current schedule, can be found on the MLC's Canvas page. Writing Center
The UT Tyler Writing Center provides a supportive and collaborative environment where students can improve their writing skills. Our consultants help students with all aspects of the writing process, from brainstorming and prewriting to drafting, revising, and editing. We offer both 30 minute and 60 minute consultations for undergraduate and graduate students. Our hours are by appointment only and can be done in person or online.
