Student Counseling Center
The University of Texas at Tyler
RESPONSE TO COVID-19:
WE ARE STILL HERE FOR YOU; WE JUST LOOK A LITTLE DIFFERENT
In Student Counseling and Wellness, our highest priority is the health and wellbeing of our students. Therefore, we are supporting students in new ways that allow us to meet our students where they are.
Telehealth: Because of the CDC guidance to limit in-person contact due to COVID-19, the counseling center is serving students through telehealth, which is easily accessible and effective. Students have the option of receiving counseling services via phone or video telehealth.
In-Person: A limited number of in-person appointments are now available. When you schedule an in-person appointment, you will be the only person checking in to the front office at that time, you will have a 6 ft distance between you and your counselor, and surfaces are sanitized in between appointments to give you a safe option for in-person counseling.
When you schedule an appointment, you will have the opportunity to choose which mode of counseling you prefer.
