Spring 2026 Election Information

Officer, Senator, and Justice Elections

The Spring 2026 Elections sign-up is open! SGA positions are year-round positions, and the Executive Board voting will open on March 20th, 2026, at midnight and close on March 27th, 2026, at 5:00pm. The Senator Election will be separate, and voting will open on April 3rd, 2026, at midnight and close on April 10th, 2026, at 5:00pm. The voting links will be sent to everyone’s Patriot Email, and each link is customized for each student, so please do not share your link. 

For Executive Board Positions: (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Chief of Staff)

  • To run for an Executive Board position, you are required to have been a member of SGA and attended 8 General Assembly meetings.
  • The sign-up deadline is Monday, March 16th, 2026.

For Senator Positions:

  • The Senator positions are broken up by college, grade classification, on-campus housing assignment, and our distance campuses.
  • You are able to run for all the Senator positions you qualify for.
  • You can run for Senator positions even if you are in the running for an Executive Board position.
  • The sign-up deadline is Monday, March 16th, 2026.

Candidacy Meetings

In order to campaign for a position in the form of encouraging students to vote for you, posting on social media, and posting flyers around campus, you must attend a candidacy meeting with our advisor Josh Neaves. The dates and times are as follows:  

  • Monday, February 23rd from 11:00am-12:00pm
  • Tuesday, February 24th from 10:30am-11:30am
  • Monday, March 2nd from 2:00pm-3:00pm

These meeting will take place in Josh Neaves' office located in the Student Engagement Office (UC 2150).
