Matt Stevenson
Dennis "Matt" Stevenson Ph.D. is an assistant professor of Social Studies Education at the University of Texas at Tyler. He earned his bachelor's and master's degree in history from the University of Florida and a doctorate in the Theory and Practice in Teacher Education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He has taught history and research methods at the secondary and post-secondary level for more than two decades. He is currently researching teacher strategies for using mainstream films in the classroom as primary sources, a project funded by the Library of Congress National Film Registry.
