Dr. Armstrong is a board-certified urologist practicing at UT Health East Texas in Tyler. Dr. Armstrong believes in treating human beings, not diseases. “Everyone’s life experiences, contexts and medical histories are different and must be taken into careful consideration when developing treatment plans. Because every person’s needs and goals are unique, I remain committed to providing high level, individualized care with shared decision-making between myself and my patients.”
While Dr. Armstrong treats most adult urological conditions, he has specific training and expertise in minimally invasive oncologic surgery using the DaVinci Surgical System, treatment of prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers, and medical and surgical treatment of enlarged prostate and kidney stone disease. Dr. Armstrong is an Associate Professor of Surgery and is the Section Chief of Urology at UT Health East Texas. He is also the Urology Clerkship Director for the UT Tyler School of Medicine. In his spare time he enjoys running and golf, plays the piano and guitar, and enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and son.
