Biography

Jenny Pagan is the Coordinator for Residence Life Operations in the Office of Housing & Residence Life at The University of Texas at Tyler. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wingate University and has earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Jenny’s professional experience spans multiple functional areas within Housing & Residence Life, including service desks, housing operations, and residence life leadership. Jenny's six years of Residence Life experience have provided her with a strong foundation in student support, operational processes, and departmental coordination.
In her current role, Jenny supports the behind‑the‑scenes operations that keep residential communities running smoothly, with a focus on operational calendars, transitions, systems, and process improvement.
Outside of work, Jenny enjoys going on walks with her dog, Kira, reading, building Lego sets, and collecting vinyl stickers.

How Can I Help?

As the Coordinator for Residence Life Operations, I support the operational and administrative functions of Housing & Residence Life. My work focuses on:

  • Coordinating residential operations and timelines
  • Supporting opening, closing, and transition processes
  • Maintaining records, systems, and operational workflows
  • Assisting with staff training related to housing and residence life processes and systems
  • Serving as a resource for Residence Life staff on operational questions

I work closely with professional staff and campus partners to ensure residential communities operate efficiently and consistently.

One of the most rewarding parts of my role is the opportunity to engage with students both one-on-one and in group settings. Building personal connections with residents allows me to support their individual journeys while fostering a sense of community. Whether through informal chats or organized events, I love seeing students connect and grow together.

From engaging academic programs to vibrant cultural events, there’s always something happening at UT Tyler that students can participate in.
