Biography

Dr. Tucker joined UT Tyler in December 2021 after serving over a decade at Alabama A&M University, most recently as its Vice President for Marketing, Communication & Advancement.  While in that capacity, Dr. Tucker led the areas of development, alumni relations, marketing/public relations, print management, campus mail, and telecommunications that included a television studio and 100,000 kw radio station.  Dr. Tucker has nearly 20 years of higher education experience, including stints in workforce development, career services, and enrollment management.  He has remained active in professional development organizations, such as the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.  Dr. Tucker has also served on various boards and committees with scopes ranging from local to international.
