The School of Education is dedicated to excellence in the preparation of educators. We work to provide the strongest programs for our students. We demonstrate this commitment to excellence through our accreditation efforts. The School of Education is accredited the Texas Education Agency, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, and UT Tyler is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

TExES Information:
For the 2017-2018 academic year, here is a breakdown of our passing rates on the TExES certification exams in all of our program areas. In the state of Texas, the accountability level deemed acceptable is an 80% passing rate. Passing rates are determined by the last time a candidate takes a certification from September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2018.
For 2017-2018, the UT Tyler College of Education & Psychology had 354 completers in our various educator preparation programs.
