PatriotALERT Emergency Notification Service

What is PatriotALERT?

PatriotALERT is the official emergency notification service for UT Tyler. It is a mass notification system comprised of email, voice and text messaging that is designed to send emergency messages to all UT Tyler students, faculty and staff in minutes. It supplements existing means of emergency communication, including the outdoor warning system and severe weather alert radios.

How can I sign up for PatriotALERT voice and text messages?

All UT Tyler students, faculty and staff are able to receive text and voice message alerts by ensuring that their contact information is updated. Contact information updated using the following instructions will automatically be loaded into PatriotALERT - usually by 8 a.m. the following day.

Faculty/Staff: UT Tyler employees can check and update their phone numbers using UT Share (https//.uttyler.edu/utshare). Click on "People Soft HR/Finance Login" After logging-in, click on "Personal Details," then the button for "Contact details." The number you enter for "Mobile Phone" will be the number that receives emergency text messages. You must select mobile phone as "preferred" You may choose to  enter your "Home Phone" to receive emergency calls at that number. You may also check your email address for accuracy as well.

Once you have updated your information , you will automatically begin receiving PatriotALERT emergency notifications.

Students: UT Tyler Students can check and update their information using “My UT Tyler” student information portal by going to http://my.uttyler.edu and following these steps:

•Log-in to my UT Tyler.

•Click on the "My profile"

•Click on the "contact details"

•Add/Update phone # by clicking on the phone number listed or the + icon under the phone section.

•Make sure the "enable texts" option is checked.
