Earn a UT Tyler Engineering BS Degree at HEC

The University of Texas at Tyler is partnering with Houston Community College to allow students to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering at the UT Tyler Houston Engineering Center (HEC), located on the second floor of the HCC Alief-Hayes campus in Houston.

The innovative UT Tyler Houston Engineering Center, located at 2811 Hayes Road, offers streamlined pathways to a four-year degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineeringcivil engineering, computer engineering or construction management.

Earn your associate of science in engineering sciences degree at HCC, or one of the other community colleges in Greater Houston, and then pursue a UT Tyler BS degree at the Houston Engineering Center.

Students who complete an associate of science in engineering from an area community college with an overall GPA of at least 2.5 and no grade lower than "C" are automatically admitted to the baccalaureate degree program. No further testing or evaluation is required.
