2021 Summer Art Camp (Lets Clay! TBA)
Let’s Clay! Discover the world of clay where you can create art from the ground up. Add some glaze and see your piece come to colorful life! Each camper will learn essential ceramic techniques to create their own works of art out of clay, from start to finish!
Campers will explore the basic techniques and skills of the ceramic arts through a series of art projects, art history lessons, and exploration activities that introduce the vocabulary of art, ceramic materials, and methods of construction. Campers will look for inspiration in nature and create multiple ceramic art pieces based on their inspiration. The camp will culminate in an exhibition of the ceramic works created throughout the week.
Campers must be 11-14 years old. No experience with art making is necessary. All activities will take place on the UT Tyler campus. Lunch cost is included in the registration, and will be at The Met in the University Center; daily snacks will also be provided. All art materials will be provided.

36th Annual International Exhibition Prospectus (Open through 11/16/20)
The Annual International Exhibition is a juried visual art competition organized by the Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Tyler. Internationally known artists, curators and scholars have served as jurors selecting works for exhibition created by some of the best contemporary artists working today. The department purchases three to six works from the exhibition each year; purchased works are added to our permanent collection. The permanent collection serves as an educational teaching resource; much of the permanent collection is exhibited throughout the UT Tyler main campus.
