Cynthia Grace

Cynthia Klauer-Grace is a highly accomplished behavioral health and operations leader with more than 35 years of service dedicated to improving mental health systems and advancing integrated healthcare in East Texas. She currently serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives at Community Healthcore, where she plays a key leadership role in workforce development, recruiting licensed mental health professionals, and providing clinical supervision for emerging social work practitioners.
Before joining Community Healthcore, Cynthia spent more than three decades with Andrews Center Integrated Healthcare in Tyler, Texas, where she advanced through a progression of leadership roles—from Social Worker and QMRP to Chief of IDD Services, Acting CEO, and ultimately Chief of Operations. In these roles, she managed all clinical operations, directed strategic planning in collaboration with the CEO and Board of Directors, oversaw program evaluation, ensured compliance with state and federal standards, and led major organizational initiatives that strengthened quality and access to care.
A Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Texas, Cynthia earned her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Wartburg College.
Cynthia’s leadership extends beyond her organizations through active community involvement. She has served on multiple boards, including The University of Texas at Tyler Social Work Advisory Committee, the Northeast Texas Health Department (Board Chair, 2018–2019), and the Behavioral Health Consortium, where she served as Treasurer. She currently serves as Board Chair for the Smith County Club House, a nonprofit focused on empowering adults with mental illness to shape their own recovery process.
