Desmond Dean
Desmond Dean is a Career Success Coach for the School of Nursing and the School of Health Professions. He joined the University of Texas at Tyler Career success team November 2025.
Prior to joining UT Tyler, Desmond held various roles and positions for 6 years at Wayland Baptist University in the Office of Academic Affairs. Additionally, he has experience in career exploration, resume writing, and assessments. He is very passionate in helping individuals further their careers, goals, and aspirations.
Desmond received a Bachelor of Arts in Communicology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He also received a Masters in Human Services from Wayland Baptist University. As a member of National Association of Colleges and Employers, Desmond continues to hone his skills and craft to guide students down the path of their life’s journey
