Joshua Menhennett

Department: Employer Advisory Board

Joshua was born and raised in Mount Pleasant, Texas, approximately one and a half hours north of Tyler. During his senior year of high school, he was selected as a 2018 Presidential Fellow Scholar at The University of Texas at Tyler. After arriving on campus, Joshua promptly joined the Student Government Association, where he served as President for two years, and was named a Bill Archer Fellow in Fall 2021.

After completing his undergraduate degree in Marketing in Spring 2022, Joshua began his Master’s in Public Administration while conducting graduate research with the Hibbs Institute for Business and Economic Research. While completing this degree, he relocated to the DFW area and began his career in local government. Following graduation, he applied for and began working at JBJ Management, where he hopes to continue building his career in government relations and business development.

Joshua Menhennett currently serves as a Project Manager at JBJ Management, a consulting firm with more than 30 years of experience based in downtown Dallas. As a member of the Government Relations team, he spends much of his time interacting with elected and appointed officials, monitoring public meetings, reporting key insights to clients, and contributing to the firm’s business development efforts. Through this work, he serves on the Greater Dallas Planning Council Board of Directors, the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce Southern Dallas County Task Force, and the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce Membership Engagement Committee.

In addition to government relations services, JBJ Management provides infrastructure design and construction support, public engagement services for development firms, and a full-service media support team.

Outside of work, Joshua enjoys playing golf, attending networking events throughout the DFW region, and taking his miniature schnauzer, Max, for walks around West Village.
