UT Tyler Web Publishing Standards

Updating Web Page Content

Web page content should be reviewed and updated on a regular basis, at least once prior to the start of each academic semester. Old content is to be removed and deleted from the server.

  • Pages should be updated with current content. Delete outdated files (.pdfs, docs, images, etc) from the Web directory immediately.
    • Please work with the Web team prior to deleting directories and/or web pages. The Dependency Manager will assist with listing pages linking to any page you may wish to delete.
  • Pages that are not updated after the first week of the academic semester are subject to removal from the UT Tyler Web server. For pages to be reinstated, the department should be current in training and should resubmit current pages for approval by the UT Tyler Web team.

Schedule a Reminder

To assist with keeping content updated, a page can be scheduled to remind you to take action in the future. Users will first select a date, then an hour. An optional notification email that you create will be sent to you on the set date and time.
