Choose Your Path

Choose from three tracks: the physical education teaching track, athletic training track and pre-health science track that incorporates the prerequisites for pre-medicine, pre-physical therapy and pre-occupational therapy career paths, if desired.

Delve into health and exercise topics with UT Tyler professors who are widely published in journals such as: Journal of the National Medical Association, Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, International Journal of Exercise Authors, The Physician and Sports Medicine and Journal of Community Health.

Meet a Professor

Dr. Wycliffe Njororai Simiyu

Professor of Health and Kinesiology

Born in Bungoma, Kenya, Dr. Njororai brings his passion for physical and sports education to the classroom and the international stage. A former UT Tyler Faculty Senate president, he has traveled to Wuhan Sports University in Wuhan, China and the Kenyan Academy of Sports in Nairobi to serve as a keynote conference speaker.
