Cranes are often used in construction work at UT Tyler. Cranes are a type of machine, equipped with cables and pulleys, and can lift and lower loads well beyond the capabilities of human construction workers. It is mainly used for lifting heavy objects and transporting them to other places. Cranes vary in size and shape. UT Tyler requires cranes used by contractors to be inspected by EHS before the job can begin.
