Staff Senate Star Award

The STAR award recognizes staff members that go above and beyond! All recipients receive a framed certificate; full-time employees receive a day of administrative leave and part-time employees receive a half day of administrative leave. Leave must be used in a year with supervisor approval.

Any UT Tyler employee, other than faculty, who has worked at the University for 6+ months and is cleared by Human Resources.

Anyone involved with UT Tyler faculty, administrative employees, staff, students, parents, or others who have experienced great service from one of our staff.

Nominations are collected via a published survey. Please email staffsenaate@uttyler.edu for the current url.

A rotating committee formed from the elected Staff Senate reviews all nominations received. The committee examines the contents of nominations looking for evidence of a great attitude and excellent service across campus.

Nominations are not held for future review. If your nominee did not receive the award, please submit a new nomination. Selection is based on the quality of nominations not quantity, so please be descriptive!
