Weather Update

Current weather forecasts indicate potentially hazardous weather conditions beginning late Friday, Jan. 23, and impacting Saturday, Sunday and possibly Monday, Jan. 24 - 26. University officials will be monitoring the weather and will communicate by 6 p.m. Sunday any operational updates for Monday, Jan. 26, as needed.

Operational updates will include the main campus, Longview University Center, Palestine Campus and the Health Science Center non-essential academic employees, as well as all University Academy campuses.

Clinical staff are to follow guidelines from UT Health East Texas. Houston Engineering Center will follow the Houston City College operations.

Food service will be operating this weekend as planned for residential students. Grab-and-go snack bags are available in residential clubhouses.

The Patriot Pantry is available tomorrow for all students to get snacks for the weekend.

Residence Life and Student Engagement will continue to provide support for residential students. Please contact Resident Assistants with questions.

Current adjustments to weekend events include:

• School of Nursing Gala — Rescheduled for Friday, Jan. 30
• Men’s and women’s basketball games — Rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 9
