The Patriot Pantry is dedicated to helping students, staff, faculty and community members in need. Its primary mission is to provide necessary food and personal care items to members of the UT Tyler community. Our pantry is completely donor funded, and it is our goal that no student goes to class hungry!

The Pantry is Closed on the weekends. Please plan ahead for your visit. The pantry is available outside of hours only for emergency situations. If you need to set an appointment for a timeframe that is not listed, it will need to be 24 hours in advance, and you can email us or call 903.565.5645.

If you are in immediate need and we are not available, you can check out the other food resources in Tyler.

Location:
Located in Library 223 (outside of the library main doors).

Most needed items: 

  • Canned meats  - chicken, tuna
  • Meals in a can (soup, stew, chili, ravioli)
  • Hormel Compleats Meals
  • Tuna snack packs
  • Canned vegetables 
  • Canned fruit 
  • Breakfast on the go (pop-tarts, cereal) 
  • Healthy snacks (granola bars, nuts, dried fruit, etc.)
  • Pastas (Mac-n-Cheese, Ramen, etc.)
  • Shelf stable milk
  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Cereal
  • Drinks (water, V8, etc.) - individuals and gallons
  • Bath and hygiene products (Toliet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant)
  • Poptop lids are preferred but not required! 

We cannot accept:

  • Expired items 
  • Baked goods
  • Foods in opened packaging
  • Foods with no expiration date listed 

Upcoming Events:

Donations for Citations! Students, donate food items & get up to $50 off your parking citation. Monday, October 21st Friday, October 25th 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM In the UC- By Swoop and Go.

Terms and Conditions:

A photo ID must be presented. 
Credit can only be applied to parking citations.
A maximum credit of $50 in the period of Sep.-Dec.
All donated items must be on the Patriot Pantry list and matched quantity to acquire a $50 credit.
Donated items must be unopened and not damaged.
Each donated item is worth $5 credit.
