Connect With UsEmpowering Undergraduates on the Path to Medicine
The Undergraduate Initiatives connect college students with the tools, experiences, and guidance needed to pursure medical school and healthcare careers. Designed for both community college and four-year university students, our programs provide a strong foundation for academic success, professional growth, and personal development.
Find the Right Path for You
No two students take the exact same route to medical school and that's why we offer multiple pathways. Each are designed to fit your goals, timeline, and current stage of education. Explore each option below to see which is the best for your journey.
Community College to Medicine (CC2MD)
CC2MD supports community college students as they prepare to transfer to a four-year institution and continue toward medical school. With advising, skill building, and access to resources, this program ensures a smooth transition at every step.
MedEx
MedEx is designed for freshmen and sophomores interested in medicine to build a strong foundation through hands-on learning and early exposure to the skills needed for a successful medical school application.
Early Assurance Pathway (EAP)
Our EAP program collaborates with regional colleges and universities to give qualified students a direct route to The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine. Participants receive individualized coaching, application guidance, interview preparation, and more.
