The University of Texas at Tyler defines, publishes, makes readily available, and consistently applies policies and procedures for processing faculty grievances, disciplinary actions, appeals, and allegations of harassment. These policies are available to faculty through the University Policy Library and Faculty Handbook and establish institutional processes that ensure fairness, due process, confidentiality, and protection against retaliation.
The UT Tyler Physician Assistant Studies Program adheres to all applicable University policies regarding faculty conduct, discipline, dismissal, grievances, harassment reporting, investigations, and appeals. Program-specific guidance is provided in the UT Tyler Physician Assistant Studies Program Faculty Recruitment, Hiring, and Development Policy 2.6, Section 2.6.7 (Discipline, Due Process, and Appeals), page 50.
Section 2.6.7 outlines the Program's adherence to University policies governing standards of conduct, disciplinary actions, dismissal procedures, and appeal rights.
Together, these institutional and program policies ensure that faculty members have access to clearly defined, published, and consistently applied procedures for resolving grievances and reporting allegations of harassment, thereby satisfying the requirements of ARC-PA Standard A1.02i.
