ProctorU acts as a 3rd party, online proctoring service for many of our online and hybrid courses. If you are taking an online course, expect to meet the qualifications for the proctoring of any online exam:

  • High-speed Internet connection
  • Webcam
  • Windows, Mac, or Chrome Operating System
  • Up-to-date Chrome or Firefox browser
  • ProctorU browser extension installed
  • Valid photo ID
  • Quiet environment to take your assessment


* If you are taking a quiz using wireless on campus, be sure to use Secure*Air (not Patriot*Air).

 

System Requirements

Webcams must have a minimum resolution of 640x480, with a recommended resolution of 1280x720. PC users must have a minimum operating system of Windows Vista, but it is recommended to have Windows 10. Mac users must have a minimum operating system of OS X 10.5, but it is recommended to have OS X 10.13 High Sierra. Internet download speeds must be a minimum of .768 Mbps, but is recommended at 1.5 Mbps. Internet upload speed must be a minimum of .384 Mbps, but is recommended to be 1 Mbps. RAM must be a minimum of 1024 MB, but is recommended at 2 GB. The minimum and recommended ports required are 1935, 843, 80, 443, 61613, UDP/TCP.
