Biography

Candice Albright is the Career Success Coach for the College of Arts & Sciences and the Fisch College of Pharmacy. She joined the UT Tyler Career Success team in June 2026.
Candice brings 20 years of leadership experience as a Navy Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer. Throughout her military career, she led professional development initiatives, mentored emerging professionals, and designed structured training programs supporting career progression across multiple organizations. She retired after 20 years of active and reserve service, attaining the rank of Commander, where her work consistently focused on developing people and guiding them through critical career transitions.
In addition to her military service, Candice has worked as a classroom educator, where she integrated career exploration, goal setting, and individualized mentoring into her work with students. She is deeply committed to helping individuals identify their strengths, connect with opportunities, and build meaningful career paths.
Her background includes experience in private industry, public service and political organizations, as well as international study and internships, providing her with insight into a range of career paths and industries.
Candice holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Energy & Environmental Law from the George Washington University Law School, a Juris Doctor, cum laude, and a Master of Arts in International Relations from St. Mary’s University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin.
She has long been drawn to mentoring and career development and views this role as a natural continuation of the work she has most valued throughout her career.
