2020 Job Description & Compensation Study

The Office of Human Resources has contracted with an outside consulting firm, Evergreen Solutions, LLC, to conduct a classification and compensation study for faculty and staff positions. Evergreen is a public sector management consulting firm with extensive experience in conducting this type of study. This study is being conducted to ensure your position’s classification reflects its duties and responsibilities and/or its salary range assignment is internally equitable and competitive within our employment markets.

December 1, 2019 – Work starts between UT Tyler and Evergreen Solutions, LLC.

December 20, 2019 – Data requested is sent to Evergreen Solutions for review.

February 10-12, 2020 – Focus Groups and Employee Orientation Sessions are conducted.

February 17, 2020 – Participation is requested to assist the University and Evergreen Solutions conduct a compensation and classification study. Classified Staff and Administrative and Professional Employees were asked to complete a Job Assessment Tool as part of the study. The Job Assessment Tool is a document used to gather information from employees about their jobs. Specifically, employees were asked to give feedback on their role, responsibilities, and duties at the institution. Initial due date: February 28, 2020, 5:00 pm

February 21, 2020 – Evergreen hosted a faculty only, Employee Orientation Session.

February 24, 2020 – Participation is requested to assist the University and Evergreen Solutions conduct a compensation and classification study. Faculty were asked to complete a Job Assessment Tool as part of the study. The Job Assessment Tool is a document used to gather information from employees about their jobs. February 26, 2020 – Due date extended for all Job Assessment Tool Surveys to March 13, 2020, 5:00 pm.
