One Stop Shop opens COVID-19 phone hotline

Questions about how COVID-19 changes will impact your financial aid? Wondering if diplomas will be issued now that commencement has been postponed? UT Tyler's One Stop Shop has set up a hotline to answer your financial aid, registrar and enrollment questions about how the COVID-19 response is impacting your student records and accounts. You can call the hotline 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 903.566.7005.

UT Tyler COVID-19 Emergency Fund established to help students

UT Tyler's University Advancement team has established a new fund to help support student success during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not all of our students are able to return home or have the resources available in their hometown to be academically successful. Some need emergency support from UT Tyler to ensure their needs are met so they can participate and succeed in the online learning model.

LUC Operating with Skeleton Crew; Computer Lab and Library Remain Open

The UT Tyler Longview University (LUC) will begin operating with a skeleton crew as of Friday, March 27. Maintaining access to necessary student resources is still a priority, so the computer lab and library will remain open.

Commencement Committee to announce new date soon

The UT Tyler Commencement Committee is working on finding a fall date for the postponed commencement ceremony. The committee expects to announce the date in the next few weeks. The Cowan Center will be the location of the rescheduled commencement ceremony. The committee expects to announce new times for hooding and pinning ceremonies soon, as well.

Bookstore Temporarily Closed

Barnes and Noble College has elected to temporarily close all bookstore locations through Sunday, April 5. Management will be monitoring email correspondence consistently during this period and fulfilling orders normally processed through the store.

HPC closed until further notice

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Herrington Patriot Center is closed until further notice. The University is currently keeping essential services open while following CDC and other guidelines, but keeping the HPC open was too challenging under the evolving social distancing recommendations.

UT Tyler donates to local hospitals

To help the medical community in Smith County respond to COVID-19, UT Tyler's Fisch College of Pharmacy, School of Nursing and other departments donated medical masks and other supplies to local hospitals. Read about it on our Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/uttyler/posts/2594178787358259.
