UT Tyler prepares for fall semester return to in-person classes

The University of Texas at Tyler will return to face-to-face classes this fall, and officials are finalizing plans to maintain a healthy campus. Read more

Students can register in person now and avoid long lines

The One Stop Service Center is open to help students register in person for fall 2020. Register now and avoid the wait in August. Staff will be available 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for assistance. Students can still register online. For more information, contact the One Stop at 903.566.7180 or enroll@uttyler.edu.

PPE available to campus departments

UT Tyler facilities and environmental health and safety have made personal protection equipment and disinfectant available to campus departments. Submit a request to order paper masks, plexiglass barriers and disinfectant.

Employees reminded to complete safety training before returning to campus

All employees (full-time, part-time and student workers) are required to complete the UT Tyler COVID-19 Return to Campus Protocol and UT Tyler Safe Practices Guide: Infectious Diseases training modules. This includes full-time, part-time and student workers. The modules are found in Canvas. Employees must complete the training prior to their authorized date to return to campus. Please contact your supervisor if you are unsure of your return date.

UT Tyler bookstore announces summer hours

This summer, the UT Tyler Barnes and Noble Bookstore will be open 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. During New Patriot Orientation, those hours will be extended to 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information, contact the bookstore at 903.566.7070.

Student counseling services to begin limited in-person sessions June 15

Starting Monday, June 15, the student counseling center will be available for walk-in emergency mental health situations and limited scheduled face-to-face counseling. Due to social distancing, students are encouraged to continue to schedule counseling appointments via phone or Zoom platforms. The crisis line is available 24/7 at 903.566.7254.
