The University of Texas at Tyler was ranked in the U.S. News and World Report 2021 Best Colleges Guide as a National University, listed among the most competitive and prestigious institutions in the country.

The magazine released its new rankings today. UT Tyler was also honored with rankings in several other categories, including Top Performers in Social Mobility, Top Public School and Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs.

“I am pleased to see our goal of becoming a National University come to fruition,” said President Michael Tidwell. “The hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff are key to this new honor, but this new achievement would have been impossible without the generous philanthropic contributions of the Tyler community.”

UT Tyler was one of only 209 universities in the nation recognized as a Top Public School.
